Houghton Festival 2026: Houghton Hall, Norfolk

Following its debut in 2025, Full Beam returned to Houghton Festival in August 2026 in a new, continuous form: Full Beam [2]. From the chromed vintage VW campervan floating on the central lake, lasers beamed across the festival and upwards into space, visible for miles around.
The work continued Chris’ longstanding relationship with the Houghton estate. Throughout the hours of darkness, Full Beam [2] animated the lake, surrounding landscape and night sky as crowds gathered along the water’s edge — drawing hundreds of festivalgoers into a shared moment of stillness and capturing the unique balance between rave and ritual at the heart of the work.
