Light - Selected Works: Gazelli Art House
-
Gazelli Art House presents LIGHT – Selected Works by Chris Levine in the gallery’s Project Space.
Coinciding with his forthcoming presentation during the Venice Biennale 2026 - where Levine will unveil a new site-specific laser installation - the exhibition brings together a focused selection of works exploring his ongoing investigation into light as both medium and experience.
Levine’s work considers the properties of light through form, surface and colour, often drawing on ideas of frequency and vibration. Large-scale parabolic wall sculptures, treated with intense UV dye, act as both visual and acoustic forms, subtly shifting the perception of the spaces they occupy and creating a sense of connection beyond the physical.
This exploration continues through the Geometry of Truth series. Rooted in the behaviour of light - particularly diffraction and refraction through quartz - these works translate physical phenomena into visual form. Each piece is created using a laser, a single-frequency beam of light, which burns the image directly into the paper.
Light - Selected Works is on show until the 16th May, 2026
