The National Portrait Gallery, London, has been presented with Equanimity, the first-ever holographic portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Created by Chris Levine and holographer Rob Munday, the work was commissioned in 2004 by the State of Jersey to mark the island’s 800-year relationship with the monarchy.
This new, technically refined version of the original Equanimity lenticular will be shown for the first time at the National Portrait Gallery as part of The Queen: Art and Image, a major landmark exhibition marking the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, opening on 17 May 2012.
