• Four years after his exhibition 528Hz Love Frequency at Houghton Hall, Chris returned to Norfolk in Auguest 2025 to present three new artworks at the annual Houghton Festival - a ‘hedonistic playground' of music, art, and nature. Curated by world-renowned DJ Craig Richards and hosted by Lord Cholmondeley, the festival has become one of the UK’s most coveted cultural escapes.

The centrepiece saw the debut of Full Beam - a site specific installation on the ground’s main lake. At its heart was a vintage chromed VW campervan with a “third eye,” floating in the lake’s centre. At night, laser waveforms transformed the van into a kinetic sculpture, evoking a surreal, dreamlike atmosphere. Using high-intensity beams, Chris sculpted dynamic forms off the mirrored surface of the VW, across the water and into the surrounding trees. Full Beam enveloped audiences in a euphoric, meditative space, inviting them to enter the space between thoughts, striking a unique balance which celebrates the rave and the ritual.

Accompanying Full Beam was the second iteration of HIGHER POWER (previously exhibited at Noor Riyadh 2024) - a super high-powered laser configured to ley lines and cosmic geometry, arcing across the entire festival site and surrounding countryside for 20km, catching the attention of nearby villages.

The final work, Light is Love, featured Chris’ signature ‘blipvert’. The peripheral imaging technique that comes alive through movement - making dancing one of the best ways to experience the work. Houghton Festival was the ideal setting. As more than a visual artwork, it was a sensory event - a meditation through motion.

The weekend served as the perfect reminder of the significant symbiosis between music, art and nature - and an ultimate reminder that we are indeed a part of nature, not apart from her.
