The “Cross Print” artworks are a selection of print works that featured in the “Inner (Deep) Space” exhibition.
Inner (Deep) Space is a multidimensional creative experience that brings together sounds, visuals, and technology. Within this piece, continuous rich tones of gently permutating frequencies created by Sacred Acoustics fill the room, like a devotional chant that focusses the mind. Music is a time-based art. But with these carefully modulated frequencies, like plainchant, overtone singing, musical drone, or the repetitive tempo of a shaman’s drum, the temporal aspect of the sound is diminished, and with it the sense of time passing: a trance of timeless space.
This artwork offers an alternative to Levine’s more common portraiture by presenting a scene of light with varying tones from a bright blue through to deep purple. It recalls the earliest forms of photography as a tool for light manipulation to present a final, abstract image. Reacting directly to the natural elements of light and colour, Levine’s “Modulation 1.6” is contemplative and beautiful.

In 2015, The Fine Art Society presented Chris Levine’s latest project, Geometry of Truth: an exploration into the nature of light and perception. Within this project, Levine utilizes technology in the form of lasers and sound to reveal natural geometries and draw viewers towards stillness. In Levine’s words, the intention of this “mixed media medley” is to cultivate a meditative space where viewers can take a moment away from the noise and chaos of the outside world.

Marking the inaugural winter show in the historic grounds of the prestigious art venue, the Houghton Hall Estate, Levine’s “528 Hz Love Frequency” exhibition was showcased between 22 October and 23 December 2021. Sponsored by Sotheby’s, the showcase featured a series of new holographic artworks, print works and large immersive laser and LED installations. Each distinctive work was characteristic of Levine’s unique and cutting-edge work with the meditative and immersive properties of light and sound.
